Produced in Rüdesheim am Rhein, this brandy is part of the historic Asbach range, founded in 1892. Known traditionally as "Weinbrand", Asbach is one of Germany’s most recognised brandy styles, created using wine distillates and matured in oak casks. The 3-litre format (double magnum/jeroboam) presents the classic 3-year-old expression in a large-scale bottle, suited to hospitality or events while maintaining the same liquid as standard sizes.
The spirit is made from multiple wine distillations, then aged for at least three years in Limousin oak casks before being blended for consistency. This process gives it a softer, fruit-led profile compared to Cognac, with a focus on smoothness and balance rather than heavy oak influence. Positioned in the mid-tier category, it offers a traditional and accessible style of brandy with added visual impact in its large format, commonly enjoyed neat, as a digestif, or in simple mixed serves.
