This is one of those drinks that's instantly recognisable - and a bit nostalgic too. Babycham has been around since the 1950s, made in Somerset, and is basically a sparkling perry (so think cider, but made from pears instead of apples). It's light, slightly sweet, and gently fizzy - closer to a sparkling wine vibe than a heavy cider. That's why it's often served chilled in a wine glass or flute. The flavour leans into fresh pear with a bit of citrusy brightness, making it really easy to drink and a good option if you don't want something too strong (it sits around 6% ABV).
It's also got a bit of history - it was actually one of the first alcoholic drinks ever advertised on UK TV and became hugely popular in the 60s and 70s. These days, it's had a bit of a comeback thanks to that retro feel and its light, refreshing style.
