Description

Description:

Crafted only in exceptional vintages, Bollinger La Grande Annee 2018 is a remarkable expression of the artistry, patience, and uncompromising standards that have defined the prestigious Champagne house of Bollinger for generations. Produced exclusively from carefully selected Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, this celebrated vintage is fermented entirely in oak barrels, a traditional practice that imparts extraordinary depth, texture, and complexity. Aged for many years in Bollinger’s historic cellars before release, La Grande Annee 2018 embodies the character of an outstanding growing season while remaining unmistakably true to the house’s rich and powerful style.

Elegant yet intensely expressive, this exceptional Champagne delivers a captivating balance of freshness, richness, and precision. Layers of ripe orchard fruits, citrus zest, toasted brioche, and delicate spice unfold beautifully across the palate, supported by a refined mousse and remarkable structure. Whether enjoyed to mark a special occasion, paired with fine cuisine, or added to a discerning collector’s cellar, Bollinger La Grande Annee 2018 represents the pinnacle of vintage Champagne craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes
Appearance
Brilliant golden straw in colour with luminous reflections and a persistent stream of exceptionally fine bubbles. The mousse is creamy and refined, creating an elegant and inviting presentation in the glass.

Nose
Complex and beautifully layered aromas of ripe pear, golden apple, white peach, and preserved lemon lead the bouquet. Notes of freshly baked brioche, toasted hazelnuts, honeycomb, and almond pastry emerge with aeration, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla, chalk minerality, and delicate spice.

Palate
Rich, precise, and impeccably balanced. Flavours of orchard fruits, citrus marmalade, and stone fruits are supported by layers of brioche, roasted nuts, fresh cream, and subtle oak influence. The texture is generous yet vibrant, with exceptional concentration, silky depth, and a finely integrated acidity that brings remarkable freshness and elegance.

Finish
Long, refined, and remarkably persistent. Lingering notes of toasted pastry, citrus zest, roasted almonds, and mineral nuances gradually fade into a sophisticated, chalky finish that leaves a lasting impression of finesse, complexity, and vintage character.
