Casamigos Anejo Tequila is an aged expression developed as part of a brand originally co-founded by George Clooney, with a focus on a smoother, more accessible style of tequila. Produced by Casamigos Tequila in the highlands of Jalisco, it is made from 100% blue Weber agave that is slow-roasted and fermented over an extended period before distillation. The tequila is then aged in American oak barrels for a longer period than reposado expressions, placing it firmly within the anejo category.
The brand was initially created for private use before being released commercially, and its production approach reflects that origin - aiming for a profile that is easy to drink rather than overly intense.
