Description

Description:

Discover the refined elegance of Chateau de Rouanne, Les Cotes, Vinsobres-an exceptional embodiment of Rhone Valley Syrah. Set in the picturesque and northernmost cru of the southern Rhone, the historic Chateau de Rouanne estate is a hidden gem, boasting a contiguous 62-hectare vineyard encircling the chateau itself. Planted in the mid-20th century and hand-harvested from organically farmed plots, the vines flourish in unique terroirs of red clay, limestone marls, and sand. A distinct geological profile, combined with the proximity of the Alps and cooling Mistral and Pontias winds, cultivates a fresh, vibrant character within every bottle. Natural fermentation and minimal intervention in the winery amplify the wine's complexity, salinity, and remarkable purity. Crafted with dedication by renowned winemaker Louis Barruol, this Syrah effortlessly channels the spirit and originality of its Vinsobres hills.

Appearance:
In the glass, Chateau de Rouanne Les Cotes Syrah reveals a deep, inviting purple core, edged with hints of garnet, underscoring its exceptional concentration and vitality.

Palate:
On the palate, this Syrah is impeccably elegant yet richly textured. Flavours of ripe black raspberry burst forth, enveloped by savoury undertones of graphite and gentle smokiness. The vibrant fruit is seamlessly integrated with hints of spicy gingerbread and a defining mineral freshness, a signature reflection of its remarkable high-altitude origins.
