Cornas Temenos is a refined expression of 100% Syrah from the revered granite slopes of Cornas in the Northern Rhone. Sourced from three distinctive parcels-Les Reynards, Mazard, and Saint-Pierre-this wine benefits from a diversity of exposures and elevations, resulting in an intricate balance of power, freshness, and complexity. Grown on decomposed granite, locally known as "gore", the vines are rooted deep in mineral-rich soils, imparting a distinctive character and minerality to the final wine. Crafted using traditional methods, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in unlined concrete tanks before an extended maceration and maturation in Burgundy barrels, revealing both the finesse and depth of classic Cornas Syrah.
