Description

Description:

Cotes-du-Rhone Belleruche Rouge showcases the exceptional art of blending, crafted from 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and 5% Marselan. This elegant red wine hails from the sun-drenched terroirs of the southern Rhone, where a medley of pebbly clay soils, stony terraces, and silty-sand vineyards nurture the vines. Benefiting from a region that ensures grapes ripen to phenolic perfection, each variety is harvested at just the right moment to deliver rich, vibrant fruit character. The wine is skillfully vinified in concrete and stainless steel tanks, allowing for gentle extraction of flavour, colour, and tannins, before being matured for six months to achieve a harmonious and refined profile. This process, combined with the unique characteristics of the Rhone's landscape, results in a wine that truly expresses the region's tradition, vibrancy, and complexity.

Tasting Notes
Appearance:
Deep and inviting, this red wine presents a vibrant, intense ruby colour with youthful reflections, promising a robust sensory experience from the first pour.

Nose:
The aromatic profile is bold and expressive. Dominant notes of blackcurrant and raspberry are effortlessly woven together, underscored by subtle hints of white pepper. The bouquet is lively, with fresh red and black fruit aromas mingling with gentle roasted and spicy nuances.

Palate:
On the palate, Cotes-du-Rhone Belleruche Rouge is juicy, powerful, and intensely fruity. An initial rush of ripe blackberries and raspberries gives way to savoury undertones and a hint of spice from the Syrah. The mouthfeel is plush yet well-balanced, with silky, delicate tannins lending both structure and charm. Roasted notes and a satisfying complexity unfold with each sip, painting a true picture of Rhone craftsmanship.

Finish:
The finish is elegant and lingering, with refined fruit flavours that slowly give way to gentle spice and soft tannins, leaving an impression of freshness and poise. This wine makes a versatile companion to dishes like young milk-fed lamb, classic pasta puttanesca, or a richly flavoured vegetable quiche, bringing out the best in each pairing.
