This is a step up from entry-level cognac, just in a smaller, easy-to-try format. Made by Courvoisier in Cognac, the VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) means the spirit has been aged longer in oak, giving it a bit more depth and smoothness compared to VS. What makes this one interesting is that it's a "Fine Champagne" cognac, meaning it's blended from grapes grown in the two top regions - Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne . That gives it a softer, more refined style, with a nice balance between fruit and oak rather than anything too heavy. Courvoisier VSOP Cognac Miniature is ideal if you want to try something a bit more premium without committing to a full bottle. It's smooth enough to sip neat but still works well over ice.
