Courvoisier XO Royal is inspired by the historic cognacs that were crafted for the royal courts of Europe. This includes connections to Napoléon Bonaparte and Napoléon III. Courvoisier has long held ties to royalty throughout Europe. Courvoisier to this day displays the Napoleon coat of arms on all their bottles. The royal courts of England, Sweden, and Denmark are all known to have regularly served Courvoisier Cognac from the early 1900s onwards, with Edward VII even commissioning his own blend.

The creation of Courvoisier XO Royal was overseen by master blender Patrice Pinet.  This expression is a marriage of Fins Bois and Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie and aged up to 30 years in Tronçais and Limousin oak casks. The result is a premium cognac offering that boasts a decadent and full-bodied profile. It's reminiscent of the Cognacs consumed by kings and queens in recent centuries.

On the nose, aromas of opulent summer flowers fill the air - lavender, honeysuckle, roses and violets. These intertwine with notes of earthy truffle. On the palate, toasted hazelnuts, cinnamon and honey provide a rich, full-bodied flavour. The finish is long and lingering.

The bottle comes present in a red, white and gold Courvoisier XO Royal box.
