Magnum, 1.5 litre bottle. Dom Perignon 2008 is one of those special vintages you get once in a long time. It also marks the first time for Dom Perignon that a vintage has been released out of sequence, with it following the release of the 2009 vintage. The nose is complex and fresh with light hints of lemon zest, wet chalk and stone fruits. After settling in the glass, you get some smoky overtones of flint. On the palate, it opens up with full generosity, where an exquisite but slender creaminess fizzes in the finest of bubbles. The vintage's characteristic acidity is remarkably well integrated. The finish is fresh and lasting. There is a promise too of future richness to come with further bottle age.
The bottle comes presented in a black gift box with the distinctive Dom Perignon badge. |
