Description

Description:

Domaine Pierre Naigeon, Creux Brouillard, Gevrey-Chambertin stands out as a quintessential expression of Burgundy's Cote de Nuits. Crafted by a leading and historic producer with over 150 years of winemaking heritage in Gevrey-Chambertin, this wine epitomises the combination of sustainable viticulture and non-interventionist methods. The estate is renowned for its mature vines, most of which exceed 50 years in age, imparting exceptional concentration and complexity to the final wine. Grown in the single vineyard 'Creux Brouillard'-aptly named 'Hollow Fog'-these grapes thrive in deep limestone and clay soils at the bottom of the slope, an area famed for producing lighter and fresher styles. Organically cultivated and crafted with minimal intervention, the wine is matured in French oak within a historic 17th-century cellar and bottled without fining or filtration, preserving the wine's natural character and purity of terroir.
