Description

Description:

Pierre Naigeon, Hautes-Cotes de Nuits Vieilles Vignes is a testament to the art of Burgundian winemaking, originating from one of the most passionate and sustainably-minded producers in the Cote de Nuits. The Naigeon family, with over 150 years of winemaking heritage rooted in Gevrey-Chambertin, is renowned for crafting expressive wines through non-interventionist methods and organic vineyard practices. The estate is particularly distinguished by its exceptionally old vines, most being more than 50 years of age, gifting each bottle an extraordinary depth, complexity, and concentration rarely encountered. Set on the higher slopes just behind Gevrey, the organically managed vineyards offer clay and limestone soils that impart finesse and elegance to the final wine. Grapes are carefully hand-harvested, with meticulous attention given to yield and grape quality, ensuring that only the finest fruit ends up in the cellar. This wine is aged on fine lees in French oak barrels, bottled without fining or filtration, and crafted to showcase the purity of its terroir.
