Description

Description:

Jackson Estate Stich Sauvignon Blanc is a highly rated New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It's beautifully balanced, full-flavoured, with zippy acidity and pleasant green notes, together with hints of exotic passion fruit. It has a cleansing minerality on the finish. The wine takes its name from Jackson Estate's founder, John 'Stich' Stichbury, whose family have established roots in Marlborough. Their long history aside, Jackson Estate have always preferred to keep their wines low key. Sustainability may be a buzz word these days, but this has always been important to them, together with minimal winemaking intervention. Their Sauvignon Blanc is released six months after most other Kiwi Sauvignons, as the wine spends more time ageing on the lees, giving a more rich and rounded texture.  This allows more restrained and harmonious flavours to develop, making this more French and classical in style, rather than being a typical Marlborough explosive tropical fruit-bomb.
