Mentzendorff traces its roots back over 150 years to the early 1850s when Ludwig Mentzendorff, a young entrepreneur, was approached by Baron Von Blackenhagen, a Dutch aristocrat and distiller, to distribute his Kummel liqueur under the Mentzendorff name in Great Britain.
Though originally distilled in the Latvian port of Riga, Mentzendorff today distills their famous kummel liqueur at the Combier distillery in the Loire Valley of France, staying true to the original recipe. |
