Description

Description:

A straw yellow colour. Mercier Champagne has a nose dominated by seeded white fruits which blend with notes of freshly baked bread. The high proportion of Pinot Noir grapes is expressed in a palate of ripe apple and pear aromas which climax in a delightfully fresh finish. Brut cuvee is the reference for the house style, reflecting the vivacity, fresh aromas and fruity notes which are the Mercier trademarks.

Background: Eugene Mercier founded his own champagne house in 1858 at the tender age of twenty. He had set himself the ambitious goal of bringing high-quality champagne to the general public. When he died in 1904 Eugene Mercier had achieved his life's ambition. Mercier was already one of the leading traders in the Champagne region and his son-in-law and sons were ready to take up the reins with justifiable pride. In 1970 Maison Mercier merged with Moet & Chandon, and then, in 1987, joined the LVMH group - France's leading luxury goods specialist.
