Midleton Very Rare 2026 Vintage Release Irish Whiskey 70cl continues one of Ireland's most prestigious whiskey collections, renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, limited annual releases and remarkable consistency. Produced at the historic Midleton Distillery in County Cork, each vintage is individually created from a carefully selected combination of rare and mature Irish whiskeys, offering a distinctive expression of the distillery's celebrated style.
Since its introduction in 1984, Midleton Very Rare has become highly sought after by whiskey enthusiasts and collectors alike. The collection is particularly admired for its elegant balance of fruit, vanilla, oak and gentle spice, with each annual release bringing its own personality to the range. The 2026 edition carries forward this tradition, making it an appealing choice for collectors, special celebrations and those looking to experience premium Irish whiskey at its finest.
For the 2026 Vintage Release, Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman has selected five distinct whiskey styles, comprising three single pot still and two single grain expressions. The blend includes older grain whiskeys matured in American bourbon barrels, contributing delicious layers of butterscotch, toffee, creamy vanilla and milk chocolate. A greater influence from lighter pot still whiskeys introduces lively citrus and orchard fruit, while the traditional pot still character brings a wonderfully rich, rounded texture. This 43rd annual release is bottled at 40% ABV and presented in an elegant, recyclable gift box.
