Description

Description:

At 6 litres, the scale of the bottle has a clear influence on how the wine comes across, not by changing its character, but by slowing everything down and allowing the different elements to settle together over time, which results in a profile that feels more composed and evenly developed. The blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier still defines the wine, but instead of the fruit presenting itself quickly and broadly, it builds more gradually, with apple, pear, and citrus unfolding in a smoother, more measured way that gives a softer and more controlled opening.

As the wine moves across the palate, the usual progression becomes less distinct, so rather than noticeable stages, everything connects in a continuous flow, with the fruit, structure, and secondary notes working together rather than appearing in sequence. There is a subtle background of pastry and lightly toasted character, but it feels fully integrated, sitting within the wine rather than alongside it, which contributes to a more unified impression. The texture is particularly refined in this format, with finer bubbles and a more even spread across the palate, giving the wine a smoother, more polished feel while maintaining its lightness. Overall, this format brings out a calmer and more cohesive version of the cuvee, where the familiar balance of fruit and freshness is presented in a more relaxed and integrated way.
