Description

Description:

Produced in Barbados, this rum reflects one of the oldest continuous rum-making traditions, combining both pot and column still distillates to achieve balance between body and clarity. Made from molasses, fermentation is followed by distillation in both still types, allowing for a blend that captures heavier, more aromatic components alongside lighter, cleaner elements. Aging takes place in ex-bourbon oak barrels under tropical conditions, where the climate accelerates maturation and enhances interaction between spirit and wood. The "Eclipse" name marks a historical event tied to the distillery, but the liquid itself serves as the core expression of the house style - structured, slightly dry, and driven by balance rather than sweetness.

The integration of pot still components gives it more character than purely column-distilled rums, while the relatively moderate aging keeps it versatile. Oak contributes vanilla and light spice, but does not dominate, allowing the molasses base and fermentation character to remain evident. It works across a wide range of serves, from simple mixed drinks to classic rum cocktails, while still offering enough structure to be enjoyed on its own.
