Oban

Oban distillery was built in 1794, pre-dating the town with which it shares its name, the town growing around the distillery. It is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, as well as one of the smallest, operating just two pot stills.

Oban's whiskies have been described as a 'West Highlands' style, falling somewhere between the smoky styles of the Scottish islands and the lighter whiskies of the Highlands. The distillery is a popular tourist destination for the area offering tours where you can enjoy a dram of their acclaimed 14-year old.
