Produced in Venezuela, this rum follows national regulations that require a minimum of two years of aging, even for white styles. Made from molasses, it is distilled using a combination of column and batch methods, creating a balance between lighter and more characterful components. After distillation, the spirit is aged in oak casks, typically ex-bourbon barrels, where it develops early notes of vanilla, light caramel, and soft fruit. It is then charcoal filtered to remove colour while retaining some of the flavour gained during maturation. This process sets it apart from unaged white rums, giving it more body and a slightly rounded texture.
The Venezuelan approach places emphasis on smoothness and integration, and this is reflected in the final profile, where the influence of oak is present but subtle. The result is a style that remains clean and mixable while offering more depth than standard white rum.
