Description

Description:

Produced in Seville, this gin is widely recognised as one of the first commercially successful strawberry gins, helping to establish the now widespread "pink gin" category. It is made in one of Andalusia's oldest distilleries, where traditional copper pot still techniques are combined with a more modern approach to flavour development. The base follows a classic gin structure, built on neutral grain spirit with juniper and citrus botanicals. What defines the style is the use of fresh strawberries, distilled or macerated into the spirit, rather than simply added as flavouring. This process integrates fruit character directly into the distillation, giving it a more natural and aromatic profile compared to artificially flavoured gins.

The result is a noticeably fruit-led style, where sweetness and berry character take precedence over traditional juniper intensity. Compared to London Dry gins, the structure is softer and more rounded, with juniper acting as a supporting element rather than the core. This shift reflects a broader move toward accessible, flavour-driven spirits designed for casual and mixed drinking. Typically bottled around 37.5% ABV, the lighter strength further enhances its approachable profile, making it easy to drink in simple serves. It is most commonly paired with tonic, lemonade, or soda, where the strawberry notes are amplified and balanced by carbonation and citrus.
