Rooted in the historic Villa Novare estate in Valpolicella Classico, this wine is produced by Bertani, a house established in 1857 and closely associated with traditional Veronese styles. The Ripasso method defines its identity, with a base Valpolicella made from Corvina, Rondinella, and supporting varieties, then re-fermented on the dried grape skins left from Amarone production. This process enriches the wine, adding depth and structure while retaining freshness.
Following the secondary fermentation, the wine is matured in oak, allowing the additional weight and texture gained from the Ripasso process to integrate fully. The approach creates a bridge between lighter Valpolicella and the more powerful Amarone, delivering complexity without excessive heaviness. Positioned in the mid to premium tier, it offers a layered and polished expression of the style, balancing richness with elegance and regional typicity.
