Description

Description:

Discover the elegance and complexity of Aconcagua Costa Pinot Noir, a captivating expression from the renowned coastal vineyards of Chile's Aconcagua region. Crafted exclusively from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, grown just 12 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, this wine embodies a true sense of place. The combination of cool maritime influences and unique soils-comprised of a thin loamy layer atop clay and metamorphic rock-imparts distinctive mineral character, freshness, and aromatic purity. Careful handpicking, meticulous double sorting, and fermentation with native yeasts result in a Pinot Noir that is both vibrant and refined. Aged in French oak barrels, a small proportion of which are new, this wine showcases the skill of Vina Errazuriz's winemaking team.

Tasting Notes
Appearance:
The wine displays a limpid ruby red hue, illuminated by striking violet flashes that speak to its youth and vibrancy.

Nose:
Intensely aromatic, the nose is immediately expressive with layers of fresh red fruit, particularly raspberries, elegantly interwoven with floral notes reminiscent of rosehip. Hints of spice and a subtle smoky character add intrigue and complexity, while the bouquet is underpinned by delicate balsamic touches.

Palate:
On the palate, this Pinot Noir is all about purity and elegance. Fresh red fruit flavours persist, united harmoniously with floral overtones and gentle balsamic notes. The wine impresses with its lively structure and tension, framed by polished, rounded tannins that deliver remarkable drinkability and finesse.

Finish:
The finish is poised and refreshing, lingering with mineral nuances and a balanced, mouth-watering acidity that leaves a lasting impression of vibrancy and balance. Ideal as an accompaniment to seared tuna with soy and spring onions, this Pinot Noir stands out for its coastal freshness, fine structure, and refined savoury length, making it a must-try for lovers of elegant, food-friendly wines.
